Try racketball and squash in Brixton for £5 for five weeks

Local residents will have an opportunity to try racketball or squash at Brixton Recreation Centre in a special five week course set to start on 1 July. The course of five sessions will cost just £5.

GLL who run Brixton Rec for the council are working with England Squash and Racketball to offer an hour of training in either sport for five weeks. The sessions are open to anyone over the age of 16 and will cost just £5 in total.

Joe Rham, partnership manager at GLL,said: “We are delighted to be working with England Squash and Racketball and are proud that Brixton Recreation Centre will be one of the first in the capital to pilot this new training and development scheme."
“The partnership will work to build a programme of squash and racketball activity at leisure centres across London, with the aim of bringing new people into the two sports and increasing participation.”

More classes will be on offer later in the year at the Rec with training, leagues and tournaments all on the cards.

The Five for £5 Racketball course sessions start at Brixton Recreation Centre start from Thursday 1 July between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
