Fruit tree workshop this Saturday in Myatt's Fields Park, SE5

This Saturday, 9 July 2011, learn how to maintain your fruit trees in a special workshop at Myatt’s Fields Park, Camberwell SE5 in Lambeth's Vassall Ward.

The London Orchard Project will be helping to prune and care for the fruit trees planted around the greenhouse and in the wildlife area, and volunteers are welcome to join from 10.30am to 2pm.

Volunteers will also be planting more vegetables in the greenhouse and caring for the ones that are growing there now during a workshop from 11am to 1pm, led by Bob Johnson.

Meet at the greenhouse for both. Everyone and all ages warmly welcome.

This planting day is organised by Myatt’s Fields Park Project in partnership with London Borough of Lambeth. The greenhouse session is funded by Capital Growth, the campaign to support 2,012 new community food-growing spaces for London by 2012.

Myatt's Fields Park is situated in Camberwell: between Calais Street, Cormont Road and Knatchbull Road, SE5 in Vassall Ward in Lambeth.
