you have an idea that could positively benefit young people in Lambeth?
The Youth Mayor Fund 2012 is now open for
applications.
Each year, the Youth Mayor with support from other youth council
members allocates a total of £25,000 to projects for young people in
Lambeth. Applications can be made for
any amount up to £5,000, and funds can be used for any type of project as long
as it positively benefits young people and meets the funding criteria. Last
year, the funds were allocated to projects delivering self esteem workshops, a
drama project for disabled young people, teenage pregnancy awareness workshops,
club facilities and dance therapy.
This year the Youth Council want to fund
projects that help to achieve their collective aims:
- Offering learning opportunities for young peop
- Improving relationships with the older generation
- Helping young people feel safer
