On Wednesday residents of Van Gogh Walk, SW9 in Lambeth's Vassall Ward planted sunflowers to provide a burst of colour in the street in time for summer.
Vassall Ward Councillor Adrian Garden (pictured with local residents) joined in the planting. Sunflowers are of course associated with painter Vincent Van Gogh who is well known for his sunflower paintings. Van Gogh Walk is named after the painter who lived nearby in the nineteenth century.
