Vassall residents invited to workshops on making the area better through the Neighbourhood Enhancement Programme

Residents in Vassall Ward are invited to two workshops being held to help shape Lambeth's Neighbourhood Enhancement Programme which aims to make the local area better for local residents.

We all know the good things about our ward - Myatt's Fields Park, Van Gogh Walk, the Akerman Medical Centre, Slade Gardens, the Minet Library and numerous schools to name a few but also the areas that need improving - the lack of green areas, parking problems, the dangerous roads and poor quality streetscapes.

The workshops will discuss ways in which the ideas that have been gathered for making the area better from local residents can be turned into real neighbourhood improvements.

The events will take place this week:

Event 1 Tuesday 16 July 2013 6:30-8:30pm, St John the Divine Community Centre, 21 Frederick Crescent, SW9

This event will consider

  • 20mph speed limit throughout Vassall
  • Waiting and loading restrictions around Myatt's Fields Park
  • Greening (planting trees and other plants to make the area greener): Patmos Road, Lothian Road and around Myatt's Fields Park
Event 2 Thursday 18 July 2013 6:30-8:30pm, Myatt's Field South Tenants' Hall, Burton Lane, Myatt's Field South Estate, SW9
