Levi Roots, food and childrens activities at the Myatt's Fields Park Harvest Festival this Saturday

Come and see Brixton cook, entrepreneur and musician Levi Roots with his Herbs and Spices Band in Myatt's Fields Park this Saturday, 14 September 2013, 1pm-5pm.

Levi and band will be performing with Mafia and Fluxy and special guests: Earl 16, Tasonia, the Reggae Choir and more.

As well as music there will be Thai and Caribbean foods made from vegetables grown in the park's greenhouse, and a cake stall featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Brixton People's Kitchen, who make monthly feasts at Myatt's from waste food, will be making magic with their mobile kitchen.

Children will be able to cook pumpkin soup over an open fire as well as foraging for food during a workshop provided by NaturActive (who give children the chance to explore nature during weekly sessions in the Mulberry Centre).

Bee Urban will run a bee keeping workshop complete with a hive of bees.

Ceri from Invisible Food will be offering a wild herb forage at 2pm, then making pakoras from 3pm to 4pm. There will also  be tours of the park greenhouse.

Myatt's Fields Park is situated in Camberwell: between Calais Street, Cormont Road and Knatchbull Road, SE5 in Vassall Ward in Lambeth.
