Paul Gadsby wins Vassall Ward byelection

Labour candidate Paul Gadsby has won the Vassall Ward byelection held on Thursday 28 November 2013.

Paul (pictured here with Vauxhall MP Kate Hoey and Lambeth Council Leader Lib Peck) swept to victory gaining 60% of the vote in the contest.

The final results are
Kelly Ben-Maimon, Conservative Party 153 votes
Paul Gadsby, Labour Party 1319 votes
Elizabeth Jones, UK Independence Party 87 votes
Danny Lambert, Socialist Party 22 votes
Rachel Laurence, Green Party 113 votes
Steven Nally, Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts 44 votes
Colette Thomas, Liberal Democrats 468 votes

Total votes cast 2206
